Our elementary educational program and adult workforce initiative launched in 2022. Our partner company, Grande Data Services, Inc. opened its doors in March of 2023. To date, we have provided education to 150 people in the region and created 23 jobs. Please watch this video to learn more about our impact.

Catalyzing the next generation of leaders
The Grande Center for Education and Economic Opportunity (Grande Center) in Chalatenango, El Salvador is a bilingual, technology focused education center for children and adults that is based on the values of social justice and long-term economic opportunity to build generational wealth and equity in rural El Salvador.
Historically, the population in Chalatenango has been excluded from their nation’s economic advancement which causes them to seek low skill and poorly paid work in the United States. Grande Center, through our school and workforce initiative, will create an economic ecosystem that will employ graduates of the program in technology careers that can be performed remotely for international companies based in the United States and elsewhere. Grande School provides children and young adults from the region the language and technical skills needed for employment in their home communities, which will stem the tide of migration and needless family separation.

Rutilio Grande School
Now operating from our completed permanent campus, Grande Center serves over 90 students in 1st through 6th grade. We accelerate learning through tech-focused, bilingual instruction, utilizing blended learning programs for core skills in reading and mathematics. With 40% of daily instruction conducted in English, our comprehensive program prepares students to compete in the international job market and secure remote roles in the technology sector.
Grande Workforce Initiative
Connecting adults to careers in tech. The Adult Education Center trains cohorts of adults in short intervals for entry-level technology roles. Our certificate programs focus on high-demand skills, including data labeling, social media and website management, remote executive assistants, AI solution development, and AI implementation support. Upon completion, we assist graduates in securing remote placements to work from El Salvador, helping to establish a new local tech industry.
Grande Data Services, Inc.
Independently owned and operated from the Grande Center, Grande Data Services, Inc. is a corporation based in El Salvador employing 40 tech professionals. These professionals serve international clients in data labeling, social media and website management, remote executive assistance, AI solution development, and AI implementation support.
The school currently depends on U.S. donations for operations; however, by hiring graduates from the Workforce Initiative and planning to redirect future company profits back to the educational programs, the long-term goal is to build a self-sustaining cycle of economic and educational growth.
